Allaahu Akbar, Allaahu Akbar, Allaahu Akbar, Laa ilaaha il-lAllaah, Allaahu Akbar Allaahu Akbar, Wa Lil-laahil-hamd

(Allaah is the Greatest, Allaah is the Greatest, Allaah is the Greatest, there is no god but Allaah; Allaah is the Greatest and to Allaah be all praise)

Mercy upon mankind!

Listen what your Prophet Muhammad may peace be upon him says as he gives Ruqya to a sick sahabi:

In the name of Allah, soil of our land, mixed with the saliva of some of us, heals our sick with the permission of our Lord
Feel the kindness and passion of your prophet and the deep yet simple idea behind that:

Starts with the name of Allah, while touching the body of the sick Sahabi, showing the belief in Allah as the Supreme One; the only God that worth worship.

Then says: soil of our land.. as if there's some sort of connection between people of a certain country and their land, this connection that man can never escape. You can also notice that when Allah creates a sort of illness in some land He brings out the plant or means of cure

With the saliva of some of us: shows the humbleness of the Prophet may peace be upon him and also shows that this is not a specific property of him but any Muslim can do it no matter who he is

Heals our sick: "our sick" as the man is a Muslim, so he's one of our big Muslim family that has the rights of brotherhood that Allah ordained and prophet Muhammad taught.

With the permission of our Lord: He's our Creator and knows what shall heal our bodies and souls
And to Allah all the praise,
and salla Allah ala sayyidina Muhammad

The sunnah of Idtibaa and the sunnah of Raml

After what happened in Hudaybia when infidels refused that Muslims would make Umrah that year and made the contract that Muslims can come the next year to make their Umrah; Prophet Muhammad and his companions

Know your ancestors! (1) Imran Ibn Hussain, the model of patience

As-salam Alikom all Muslims in Allah's land

Time has come for this blog to open this series: KNOW YOUR ANCESTORS

We'll try to focus on some characters of the Sahaba may Allah be pleased with them, their lives and lessons we could learn from them

Imran Ibn Hussain (may Allah be pleased with him)

The journey of Hajj - the pilgrimage

As-salam Alikom

a remarkable journey, deep in history, answering the call of Ibrahim, the call to fulfill the visit to Allah's house.

To be aware how great this journey is, and how hard too, let's see the sites on the map:

Dear Muslim, don't waste good deeds in these noble days

Narrated Ibn Abbas (R.A):
The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, “No good deeds done on other days are superior to those done on these (first ten days of Dhul Hijja).”
Then some companions (R.A) of the Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, “Not even Jihad?”.
He replied, “Not even Jihad, except that of a man who does it by putting himself and his property in danger (for ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Sake) and does not return with any of those things.”
Sahih Bukhari: Volume 2, Book 15: The Two Festivals (Eids), Number 86

Story of the Holy Quran.

Why is the Holy Quran arranged that way? On what basis? why do we find some MAdani verses among other Makki verses all in the same chapter?

all these questions run in our heads, in searching for the answers we found it lying in the story of this religion itself.

Let's hold the story from beginning:

Bismillah Arrahman Arrahim:

2:106 Nothing of our revelation (even a single verse) do we abrogate or cause be forgotten, but we bring (in place) one better or the like thereof. Knowest thou not that Allah is Able to do all things ?

107 Knowest thou not that it is Allah unto Whom belongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth; and ye have not, beside Allah, any guardian or helper ?

108 Or would ye question your messenger as Moses was questioned aforetime ? He who chooseth disbelief instead of faith, verily he hath gone astray from a plain road.

THE LAST PROPHET:
Deep in history, the moment came when Allah destined the rise of the last prophet on this earth. This prophet was already known by description to the former nations who received revelations: Jews and Christians (Ahlul-Kitab).
Sooner Prophet Muhammad -salla Allahu alihi wa sallam/may peace be upon him- turned 40, and received his 1st revelation - in the cave of Hiraa- Iqraa! (Recite!)

Why doesn't Allah respond to my Duaa?

As-Salam Alikom dear reader,

when you make Duaa, you'll have one of 3 options:

1- Allah responds immediately,
2- Allah responds and the result comes later to be in the right time,
3- Allah saves the Duaa and rewards you for it in the hereafter.

what's the determinant here? your own benefit!
you might ask for something which is not for your benefit at that time, or not at all, and Allah might be preparing you for the better.

another point. did you do what makes your Duaa deserves to be accepted?

Once a Sahabi requested from Prophet Muhammad to Ask Allah for him to have an accepted Duaa, Prophet Muhammad responded: let what you eat be Halal to have an accepted Duaa (He meant to earn Halal money). We always forget that!
May Allah grant us with Tawbah and gift us with the accepted Duaa. Ameen!

Basics of Fasting During Ramadan

Beginning the Fast of Ramadan

Muslims begin fasting the day after the appearance of the new moon for the month of Ramadan. If the new moon has been sighted in any part of the world, a Muslim should begin his fast the next day.

Ramadan Duas

Making duas or supplications is a very high and important form of worship for a believer. The Arabic word dua literally means to “call upon”. Basically dua is asking Allah (s.w.t) for help or for the fulfillment of a particular need. Making duas is a beautiful form of expressing your helplessness and dependency on Allah the All-Powerful and most Merciful. According to the hadiths dua is a form of worship and it is the essence of worship (Tirmizi). Also, dua is the only act of worship that provides us with the opportunity to communicate with Allah (s.w.t) in the manner we wish. Making duas can change our life, our outlook, and our fate. It is the most potent weapon of a believer. Here are some proofs from the Holy Quran and Hadiths on the importance of duas:

I like my God! He looks like me!

From India to China, from America to Europe, from Brazil to South Africa; people have different religions and different cultures. That's how Allah created them.

Parvati, goddess of India
Buddha, god of China
Buddha looks Chinese, Parvati looks Indian, and Virgin Mary looks European and sometimes African!

What a remarkable thing to notice!....
